York® Sunline Magnum™ packaged heating and cooling units combine high efficiency and advanced economizer controls Single footprint serves all units from 3 to 5 tons Norman, OK - York® Sunline Magnum™ packaged heating and cooling units from Johnson Controls combine high efficiency and advanced economizer controls with installation flexibility and low installed costs. The 14 SEER convertible single package units, available in 3-, 4- and 5-ton sizes, share a common footprint for easy installation on a roof curb, slab, roof jack or frame. Gas and electric utility knockouts are provided on the units’ sides and bottom for easy connections, and the convertible airflow design eliminates the need for panel cutting or an accessory panel. To further reduce installation time and costs, factory-installed options include a stainless steel heat exchanger, electric heating elements, single enthalpy economizer, coil guard, dirty filter switch, hinged filter door and toolless access panels. A complete line of field-installed options is also available, featuring propane and high-altitude conversion kits, motorized dampers, single enthalpy economizers and dual enthalpy sensors. The Sunline Magnum line of packaged units features a Simplicity® control board. Standard features of the control board include an integrated low-ambient control, anti-short cycle protection, fan delays, safety monitoring, nuisance trip protection and on-board diagnostics. Grooved copper tubes and enhanced aluminum fin construction improve heat transfer, and permanently lubricated condenser and evaporator fan motor bearings need no annual maintenance. All units are factory wired, piped, charged and tested prior to shipment.

The energy efficiency ratio (EER) of the line ranges from 11.6 to 12.0. Single-phase models with gas heat have a minimum annual fuel utilization efficiency (AFUE) of 80 percent. The compressor in each unit is internally protected against high pressure and temperature, and the heat exchanger is corrosion resistant, with aluminized steel tubular construction for durability. All cabinets feature a powder-painted, galvanized steel finish that meets 1,000-hour salt spray standards to ensure a long service life. Full-perimeter base rails are permanently attached to provide a solid unit foundation. The rails include rigging holes and fork lift slots on three sides for easy lifting. All York Sunline Magnum packaged heating and cooling units include a one-year limited parts warranty on the complete unit. Compressors and electric heater elements carry a five-year warranty, and gas-fired heat exchangers feature a 10-year parts warranty. |
