New Bell & Gossett ZoneTrol™ II zone controllers for residential applications
Morton Grove, IL - ITT has introduced its next generation of Bell & Gossett ZoneTrol™ II zone pump controllers with optional outdoor reset control that makes them ideal for green building applications. Standard features include domestic hot water (DHW) priority timer, post purge function and pump exercise in an economical and user-friendly package. The new ZoneTrol II is a ready-to-install zone controller for hydronic circulators in residential and light commercial applications. All ZoneTrol II controllers are UL and cUL listed and feature multi-function LED’s that are visible without removing the cover for easy start-up and troubleshooting. All ten models are compatible with analog and digital 24 VAC thermostats, including “power stealing” designs. Four- and six-zone controllers are field expandable for up to 18 pumps and are available with integrated, pre-wired boiler reset or mix reset controllers. Units with reset controllers also include all of the necessary sensors. All ZoneTrol II controllers come with a standard five-year warranty. |

Ecosaire adds direct drive fan, free cooling, & R-410a to precision A/C Spacemaker Series
The Ecosaire® by Dectron has added a space-saving direct drive fan, environmentally friendly R-410a refrigerant, and energy-saving free cooling to its Spacemaker (SM) Series of precision air conditioning equipment for data equipment centers, telecommunications rooms, digital switchgear sites, medical equipment rooms, electrical rack rooms, internet server vaults and other critical cooling environments. The SM Series is available in sizes of two to seven tons. Besides cooling, unit customization can include gas phase and/or ultraviolet filtration to eliminate airborne contaminants, dehumidification to reduce corrosion-causing condensation, humidification to eliminate static electricity, energy-saving hot gas reheat, and many other options factory-interfaced and packaged for single source responsibility. Larger units up to 40 tons are available from Ecosaire’s EC Series. The replacement of previous belt drives or blower configurations by the direct drive fan reduces the SM Series’ already compact footprint by an additional 35 percent, making it one of the HVAC industry’s smallest precision a/c unit footprints and great for space-challenged environments. The direct drive also enables the energy-saving options of a variable frequency drive (VFD) or electrically commuted (EC) motors. The addition of free cooling reduces energy costs by up to 50 percent in northern climates by utilizing wintertime ambient outdoor air and a glycol loop to cool instead of the unit’s direct expansion (dx) refrigeration circuit. For sites with available chilled water loops, the SM Series also offers an optional dual cooling feature where the glycol loop provides primary cooling and the dx circuit serves as a redundancy back-up, thus eliminating the expense of a second unit or two dx circuits for redundancy. The SM Series also includes: • Double-wall case construction that separates R-value insulation from the air stream to enhance IAQ. • Supervisaire® on-board microprocessor capable of either self-sufficient controlling/monitoring or interfacing with all protocols of building automation systems. Unlike some other precision air conditioning brands, Ecosaire’s SM Series also comes with double-wall case construction that totally separates the unit’s high R-value insulation from the air stream to prevent potential indoor air quality particulate contamination. |

Aprilaire® introduces new MERV 13 air cleaners Madison, WIS – Aprilaire is introducing the Model 4000 series air cleaners that feature a MERV 13 filter and the industry’s only patented Air Cleaner Control, which gives homeowners the visibility and control they seek when it comes to actively managing their indoor environments. Extensive consumer research revealed that homeowners want and are willing to pay for all the benefits that a whole-home air cleaner provides but they really liked the interaction that portable air cleaners allow.
